Mobile Vehicle Technician - RailLocation: Midlands Based Job Type: Full TimeJob DescriptionAs the Vehicle Technician - Rail, you will report to the Site Team Leader or Site Supervisor.The Vehicle Technician will conduct and support routine maintenance and repairs on rail products to the standard specified in approved manuals and in accordance with contract requirements. The role will also embrace digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives.This position would suit candidates from a wide range of engineering backgrounds, including Vehicle Technicians, HGV Technicians, PSV/Bus Technicians, Mechanics, Service Engineers, Maintenance Engineers and Rail Engineers looking to utilise their mechanical and electrical maintenance skills in a rail environment.What You Will Be DoingPerform modifications and, with further development, progress to carrying out preventative, scheduled and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules, manuals and contractual requirements.Actively participate in continuous improvement activities for maintenance processes and procedures, including suggesting improvements.Attend and participate in customer meetings where necessary to obtain sign-off for completed work.Complete all relevant documentation accurately to record work carried out for both the business and the customer.Support and contribute to HSQE management processes.Maintain cleanliness of onsite facilities.Attend local and factory training courses as ..... full job details .....
