For over 20 years James Lewis Ltd has provided a wide variety of engineering services to the major Bus and Coach operators and manufacturers throughout the UK. We have varied projects with multiple clients throughout the UK and are looking for experienced and flexible engineers who are able to adapt to the diverse nature of our work. Job Types: Full-time Salary: £33.47 Shift: Monday-Friday Benefits: Overtime Available Pension plan Free bus travel Duties to include: Performing routine maintenance and conducting thorough safety inspections Attending call-outs and providing support to multiple depots across London Troubleshooting and repairing issues with engines, brakes, hydraulics, fuel systems, and electrical components using diagnostic laptops and testing equipment Maintaining and servicing wheelchair ramps and other accessibility features Handling mechanical, electrical, and bodywork repairs as required Ensuring all repairs are completed correctly and thoroughly tested Guiding and mentoring apprentices while sharing technical expertise Enhancing fleet reliability by leveraging real-world performance data Staying current with emerging vehicle technologies, including electric vehicles and mirrorless systems Candidates must have a recognised qualification in PCV or HGV Engineering and ideally have +3 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
