Mobile Plant Mechanic

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Mobile Plant Engineer to join our client’s team based around the St Austell area. This is an excellent Mobile Plant Engineer opportunity for experienced professionals looking to develop their career within a reputable utility maintenance company. The Mobile Plant Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of plant equipment on-site, including pumps, generators, and small plant machinery.

Duties:

• Service, repair, and maintain plant equipment at customer sites across the St Austell area
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure minimal downtime, aiming for first-time fixes
• Record all work accurately via tablet, including photos, hours, and parts used
• Conduct planned servicing and preventative maintenance in addition to urgent repairs and breakdowns
• Work independently on-site, adhering to safety standards and procedures

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience maintaining pumps, generators, excavators, or small plant equipment
• Full UK driving licence requird for this Mobile Plant Engineer role
• Own hand tools; specialist tools and diagnostic equipment are provided
• Ability to work independently on-site and to deadlines
• Nice to have: NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Lantra or NPTC small plant qualifications, LOLER awareness
