Mobile Plant Fitter

Job Role: Mobile Plant Fitter
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: £43,000 - £50,000 per year / £17.50 - £20.50 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 07.00-17.00 + Company Vehicle/Fuel Card
Overtime: Anything over 12 hours on the day paid @ 1.25x, weekends paid @1.5x
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a plant hire firm that have been established over 30 years ago to support the growth of their service team. Our client, who are currently undergoing expansion are seeking an experienced plant fitter who can come in and hit the ground running with previous experience in the plant hire industry.

The package:

·               20 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays (28 overall)
·               All overtime is paid at 1.25x

The Responsibilities:

·               Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment -Predominantly Telehandlers.

·               Manage your own day.

·               Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

·               Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.

·               Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance

·               Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting

The Requirements:

·               Previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV or Agricultural industry (essential)

·               Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)

·               Experience working on engines would be advantageous

·               Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience

·               A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own

·               Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)

·               Full UK Drivers License
