Mobile Gas Engineer

We are looking for a-Mobile Gas Engineer-who wants to work in a diverse role-where no two days are the same.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a-Mobile Gas Engineer-to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

The-Mobile Gas Engineer-will be responsible for:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Undertake maintenance, repair, and installation of gas systems, along with supporting fabric and basic electrical tasks.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with legislative and compliance standards, particularly gas safety regulations.
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork and digital reports accurately and within required deadlines, using handheld technology.
• Accurately identify and report remedial works, ensuring that certification and compliance documents are properly filled out.
• Supervise and monitor visiting subcontractors, ensuring high standards of workmanship and adherence to Health & Safety regulations.
• Issue and manage Permits to Work, and oversee small works and escort duties where required.
• Proactively identify additional work opportunities on sites and assist in preparing supporting information for quotations.

To be successful for this Mobile Gas Engineer role you must have:

• City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent qualification in Gas Engineering or a related mechanical discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in maintenance, fault finding, and testing of systems such as:

1. Boilers
2. Ventilation
3. Pumps
4. Generators
5. Switchgear
6. Cables
7. Batteries
8. Small power and lighting (where applicable)

• Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety practices and relevant legislation.
• Confidence in using digital handheld devices for work tracking and reporting.
• A full UK driving licence (essential for this mobile role).
• Willingness and ability to be part of an on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support.
• A proactive, flexible approach to work and a strong commitment to delivering high standards.
