Mobile Fabric Engineer

OverviewEquans is recruiting for a Mobile Fabric Engineer on the HMCTS contract based out of Slough County Court, covering various sites across the surrounding area. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

What will you deliver?The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Fabric and limited Engineering Assets, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner. Activities will include:

Inspect/repair floor, walls, ceilings and roofs

Inspect/repair free standing and fitted furniture

Inspect/clear drainage and gully systems

Inspect/replace lamps and tubes

Inspect/repair doors (including Fire Doors), windows and associated furniture

Legionella duties – tap temperatures and flushing

Painting, re-decorating and hanging of pictures/notices

Plantroom inspections and AHU filter changes

Reactive repairs and initial attendance for toilets, leaks and blockages

Assist engineering staff in a wide range of duties as required

Carry out reactive/Ad-Hoc activities – act as first response on site and take immediate action to make safe where appropriate

Who are we looking for?

Desirable NVQ (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Carpentry or Decorating Services

Demonstrable experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing or flooring in a construction, repair or maintenance environment

Good knowledge of Fire Door maintenance and inspection techniques

Understanding of Legionella control techniques (e.g., tap flushing)

UK Driving Licence

Enhanced security vetting process including a criminal records check may be required
