Mobile Electrician Nottingham & Derby | -37,289 + -2,535 Standby + -1,500 Competency Payment | -45k50k+ OTE A Mobile Electrician is required to join an established facilities management team, covering a small portfolio of retail sites across Nottingham and Derby. You''ll be responsible for the electrical maintenance of around 5-6 stores, carrying out a mixture of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, electrical fault finding and minor repairs. The basic salary is -37,289, with a -2,535 standby payment and a further -1,500 competency payment available once you complete the required electrical fault-finding training. The training is completed during your probation period and comes with a City & Guilds certificate, giving you an additional recognised qualification alongside the earning potential. With overtime, engineers are typically earning -45,00050,000+, with further earning potential depending on overtime uptake. The Role This is a mobile electrical maintenance role covering approximately 5-6 retail stores across Nottingham and Derby. You''ll be part of a regional engineering team, working across the stores to ensure electrical and associated building services are maintained safely and efficiently. The role would suit an experienced Electrician, Mobile Electrician or Electrical Maintenance Engineer who is comfortable working independently, travelling between sites and dealing with both planned and reactive maintenance. You''ll work closely with colleagues, site teams and clients to ensure maintenance issues are resolved within agreed timescales. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive electrical maintenance across 5-6 retail sites.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults across commercial building services.
- Complete minor electrical repairs and maintenance works.
- Support other engineers with major and minor maintenance tasks where required.
- Travel between sites across Nottingham and Derby as required.
- Complete maintenance tasks within agreed SLAs and KPI targets.
- Accurately complete job sheets, reports and other maintenance documentation.
- Keep the maintenance system updated with live job information.
- Ensure tools, test equipment and materials are available and maintained correctly.
- Work safely and in accordance with relevant electrical regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain professional relationships with site teams, clients and colleagues.
- Participate in a 1 in 4 standby/call-out rota.
What You''ll Need
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or Maintenance, or a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Previous experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within a commercial, retail or facilities management environment.
- Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Good electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
- Full UK driving licence.
Experience with commercial catering or bakery equipment would be advantageous, although full training is provided.
