Our client is a national award-winning waste management company specialising in the transportation and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. A vacancy currently exists for a Mobile Chemist based at the company’s depot in Kent.
We're looking for a chemistry graduate or someone with a strong background in chemical handling to join our technical services team. In this field-based role, you’ll visit industrial, laboratory, and educational sites across the South East to identify, classify, and safely pack hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals for compliant transport and disposal.

Role Accountabilities:
- Travel to client sites to identify and categorise waste chemicals
- Accurately list chemicals and complete associated documentation
- Safely pack chemicals in accordance with ADR transport regulations
- Drive a company-provided vehicle to transport collected waste materials to licensed facilities
- Ensure full compliance with environmental and transport legislation
- Communicate with customers, internal teams and external waste partners
- Promote safe handling and sustainable practices
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry or a related science (or equivalent experience)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of chemicals with associated risks and hazards
- Comfortable working independently and in a mobile role
- Knowledge of hazardous waste, COSHH, or ADR regulations desirable (training provided)
- Motivated by safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility
