Mobile A/C Engineer

Job Title: Mobile A/C Engineer Location: South London (Static commercial sites) Salary: £45,000 + OT + Van and Fuel Card Hours: Monday - Friday On-Call: 1 in 5 rotation (£100 standby allowance) Role Overview We are hiring a Mobile A/C Engineer to deliver maintenance and repairs across static commercial sites in South London. You will work extensively on splits, multi-splits, VRV/VRF systems, and VAV (Variable Air Volume) terminal units. Key Responsibilities Splits and Multi-Splits: Routine servicing, filter changes, leak checks, coil cleaning, and compressor diagnostics. VAV Units: Airflow balancing, actuator/damper troubleshooting, controller setup, and reheater coil maintenance. Commercial A/C Equipment: PPMs, fault-finding, major component replacement, and reactive repairs on VRV/VRF systems and air handling plant. Compliance: Complete F-Gas logbooks, maintain compliance records, and join the 1 in 5 call-out rota. Requirements NVQ Level 2/3 in A/C and Refrigeration + valid F-Gas Category 1 (2079). Strong hands-on experience with VAV boxes, splits, and commercial A/C systems. Full UK driving license and proximity to South London. Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
