MMA Welder

Our client, a key player in the energy sector, is currently searching for two skilled MMA Welders to join their team at Hinkley Point C on a 6-month fixed term contract. This opportunity is perfect for professionals with recent experience in the MMA discipline, particularly those with a background in the nuclear, oil & gas industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing high-quality MMA welding on a variety of plate materials
• Fabricating and welding components to strict industry standards
• Ensuring all welding work is in accordance with coded welding specifications
• Collaborating with the team to ensure project milestones are met
• Maintaining safety standards and adhering to health and safety regulations
• Completing weld inspections and quality assurance checks

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience with MMA welding techniques
• Competence in MMA PLATE and general MMA welding
• Background in fabricator/welder roles
• Coded welding qualifications, such as BS EN ISO 9606
• Relevant certifications, including the CCNSG Safety Passport
• One of the following qualifications:
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Welding Apprenticeship
  • An equivalent apprenticeship in a welding discipline
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in a welding discipline or equivalent
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Welding and Engineering Craft Studies
• A minimum of 3 years'' experience as a welder in a relevant industry
