Mission Systems Engineer

Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking five Mission Systems Engineers to join their team in Warton on a contract basis. The positions are for a 12-month duration with hybrid arrangements to be confirmed. The roles will involve working on crucial defence projects, ensuring systems are optimally designed, integrated, and maintained to meet rigorous standards.

• Designing, developing, and integrating mission systems solutions for defence applications
• Ensuring all systems meet specified project requirements and industry standards
• Conducting systems analysis and providing technical input to the team
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for deployed mission systems
• Participating in design reviews and providing constructive feedback
• Maintaining accurate documentation of engineering processes and outcomes
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies as needed

• Strong understanding of mission systems in the Defence & Security sector
• Proficiency in systems design, development, and integration
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders
• Ability to adapt to dynamic project requirements and work within a hybrid work environment
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
