About the Role
Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is seeking a Minibus Driver for a full-time, temporary position based in Niddrie. The role involves safely transporting passengers to schools, day centres, and community activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity throughout each journey. You will provide patient assistance when passengers board or leave the vehicle, tailoring your support to individual needs. Daily vehicle checks, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting maintenance issues are also required. The pay is £14.51 per hour, working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A valid UK driving licence with D1 category is essential, and this role is subject to a PVG check. Full training, PPE, and overtime opportunities are available, with permanent prospects in the coming months.

The PCV Driver will:
- Safely transport passengers to and from school, day centres, and community activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
- Provide assistance when boarding and leaving the vehicle, offering patient and respectful support tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and promptly report any maintenance concerns.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with passengers, families, and staff, promoting a calm and friendly atmosphere.
- Follow all road safety regulations and organisational policies to the highest standard.
- Have previous experience supporting children or adults with additional needs or vulnerabilities (highly desirable).
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
