At British Gypsum we are looking for a Mine Shift Manager to join our team based out of Birkshead Mine (Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria)You will report to the Mine Production Manager, managing the deployment of, and ensuring suitable supervision of, all personnel and equipment at the Mine. What you will be doing: To ensure the adequate supervision of all personnel at the mineTo undertake responsibilities in a safe and economic manner in compliance with Mining legislation, Company Policy, and Managers Rules.Deployment of personnel and resources to safely meet the requirements of the mineTo ensure that all contractors on site are supervised effectively.Ensure that all statutory shift reports are completed in accordance with mine regulationsIdentify training and development needs in the mine personnel and co-ordinate training activity as ..... full job details .....
