The Role

As a MIG / TIG Welder, you''ll play an important part in producing high-quality fabricated and welded components.

This is a varied workshop-based role where you''ll be working from engineering drawings and taking responsibility for producing work to the required quality and specification.

Key responsibilities include:

• MIG and/or TIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols.
• Setting welding equipment and selecting the correct consumables.
• Fabricating components using cutting, grinding, fitting and tack welding techniques.
• Ensuring welds meet the required quality and specification.
• Inspecting completed work and identifying any issues.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Working as part of a close-knit production team to meet deadlines and production requirements.
• Taking pride in producing consistent, high-quality workmanship.

About You

We''re looking for an experienced MIG / TIG Welder who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working within a busy manufacturing environment.

You don''t need to be looking for the next short-term contract - this is an opportunity to join a stable business where skilled people are valued and there is genuine scope to develop.

You will ideally have:

• Previous MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
• Experience working from engineering drawings and weld symbols.
• A background within manufacturing, fabrication or engineering.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• A reliable and positive approach.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The following would be advantageous:

• Experience welding aluminium and stainless steel.
• Previous fabrication experience.
• Experience working on varied or bespoke components.
• Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications.
