MIG/MAG Welder / Fabricator Pipework and Heavy Engineering Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester Company: Oldham Engineering Ltd Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role We are recruiting experienced MIG/MAG Welders / Fabricators with pipe welding experience to join an established heavy engineering and manufacturing company based in Oldham. The company has a major pipework contract coming up, alongside an established workload of general MIG/MAG welding, heavy steel fabrication and industrial engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a versatile welding background, with the ability to undertake pipe welding when required while also being confident working on general MIG/MAG fabrication projects. This position would suit an experienced Welder/Fabricator who has worked across structural steelwork, industrial pipework, heavy engineering or coded welding applications. Key Responsibilities Carry out MIG/MAG welding on mild steel, carbon steel and fabricated components. Undertake pipe welding and pipework fabrication for upcoming industrial contracts. Perform welding on heavy steel fabrications, structural components and engineering assemblies. Prepare, fit, tack and weld pipework and fabricated steel components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and fabrication specifications. Carry out positional welding, butt welds, fillet welds and multi-run welding where required.
