MIG Welder/Fabricator

Position: MIG WelderLocation: BacupHours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to ThursdayReporting To: Management Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our workshop team in Bacup. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and repairing metal components and structures in accordance with engineering specifications and company standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) to manufacture items and components to a high standardCut, shape, and prepare materials, ensuring correct dimensions and thicknessesWeld and join metal and other materials to create a wide range of structuresInterpret and work from engineering plans, technical drawings, and instructionsUse computer software and programmes to assist with the design of structuresOperate welding equipment, tools, and machinery safely and effectivelyInspect and test completed welds using precision measuring instrumentsDismantle and reassemble metal structures as requiredMaintain a clean and safe working environment, including cleaning tools and equipmentWear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesCarry out all duties within a workshop environment Health and Safety and Compliance Adhere fully to all company Health and Safety policies and proceduresReport any issues or concerns that may affect operations to Management in a timely manner Additional Duties Undertake additional reasonable duties as requested by Management, ..... full job details .....
