About the Role

Pertemps West Bromwich seeks a MIG Welder for a permanent, full-time position in Smethwick. The role involves welding mild steel components, including end plates and pin stools, to precise specifications. Candidates must interpret technical and engineering drawings and handle steel thicknesses from 5mm to 25mm. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 06:30 to 16:15, totalling 37.5 hours weekly, with Fridays off. Overtime is available. The pay rate is £14.50 per hour, and a permanent contract follows a successful trial. Applicants should possess solid MIG welding experience and a commitment to meeting quality and industry standards. The successful welder will join an established, growing business.

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder to join our well-established client based in Smethwick.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing business. The ideal candidate will have solid MIG welding experience, working with mild steel components.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components to precise specifications
Weld end plates and pin stools
Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
Work with mild steel thicknesses ranging from 5mm to 25mm
Ensure all welding meets quality and industry standards

Working Hours:

Monday – Thursday, 06:30 am – 4:15 pm (Fridays off) – 37.5 hours per week
Plenty of overtime available

Pay Rate:

£14.50 per hour
Permanent position offered after a successful trial period
