About the Role

Pertemps West Bromwich is recruiting a MIG Welder for a well-established client based in Smethwick. This full-time, permanent role offers £14.50 per hour and involves working Monday to Thursday, 06:30 am to 4:15 pm, with Fridays off and overtime available. The successful candidate will perform MIG welding on mild steel components, including end plates and pin stools, interpreting technical drawings. Experience with steel thicknesses from 5mm to 25mm is essential, alongside a commitment to quality standards. A permanent position is offered after a successful trial period.

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder to join our well-established client based in Smethwick.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing business. The ideal candidate will have solid MIG welding experience, working with mild steel components.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components to precise specifications
Weld end plates and pin stools
Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
Work with mild steel thicknesses ranging from 5mm to 25mm
Ensure all welding meets quality and industry standards

Working Hours:

Monday – Thursday, 06:30 am – 4:15 pm (Fridays off) – 37.5 hours per week
Plenty of overtime available

Pay Rate:

£14.50 per hour
Permanent position offered after a successful trial period
