We are currently looking to recruit an experienced MIG Welder to join our client who are a leading provider of heating and boiler systems based in Keighley (BD21)
Salary: -31,200 per annum
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday 08:00am - 16:15pm
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to perform high-quality welds on industrial boilers to meet coding and industry standards. This role is critical in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out MIG welding on boiler shells, pipework, and associated components
- Weld in accordance with specified welding procedures and coding standards (e.g., BS EN or ASME codes)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
- Perform welds to a consistently high standard, passing non-destructive testing (NDT) where required
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure a safe, clean working environment
- Work to production schedules and quality targets
Requirements:
- Proven experience in MIG welding, preferably in heavy/industrial fabrication
- Valid or previously held welding coding''s (e.g., BS EN ISO 9606 or ASME Section IX) - training/refresher can be provided
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and weld maps
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices in a welding environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience working on pressure vessels or boiler fabrication
- Familiarity with TIG or Stick welding (advantageous, not essential)
