MIG Welder – Immediate Start – Days or Nights

Location: Carnaby, East Yorkshire
Pay Rate: £16.00 – £24.00 per hour DOE
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Start: Immediate / Short Notice Required

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 16:30
£16.00 – £18.00 per hour DOE

Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 17:00 – 01:30
£21.33 – £24.00 per hour DOE

Overtime: Regular overtime available during the week and at weekends.

AQUMEN Recruitment is recruiting experienced MIG Welders to join a well-established steel fabrication and manufacturing business based in Carnaby, East Yorkshire.

This is an urgent requirement, so we are particularly interested in experienced MIG Welders who are available to start immediately or at short notice. Please confirm your earliest available start date when applying.

Working within a busy production environment, you will manufacture high-quality fabricated steel products for customers across a range of industrial and construction sectors.

The Role

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds while working from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding mild steel and stainless steel components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Preparing materials for welding, including grinding, cleaning and fit-up
• Inspecting completed welds to ensure required quality standards are met
• Carrying out basic fabrication and assembly work when required
• Working to production schedules and customer specifications
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
• Following all health, safety and quality procedures

What We''re Looking For

• Previous MIG welding experience – essential
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or fabrication environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience welding mild steel and/or stainless steel
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and hardworking approach
• Flexibility to work overtime when required
• Available to start immediately or at short notice

Desirable Experience

• Welding qualifications or coding certifications
• Structural steel experience
• Heavy fabrication experience
• Bespoke manufacturing experience
• Experience working to recognised quality standards
