The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality welding and fabrication of steel components, with a particular focus on full-penetration butt welds using the MAG welding process . This position is ideally suited to a skilled welder with experience in heavy engineering, structural steelwork or general steel fabrication who can work independently and consistently produce high-standard welds. Key Responsibilities Carry out MIG and MAG welding on mild steel and carbon steel components. Perform full-penetration butt welds using the MAG welding process. Complete multi-run, fillet and butt welds to the required specifications. Fabricate and assemble steel components from engineering drawings. Prepare materials and joints for welding, including grinding, cutting and weld preparation. Maintain high standards of weld quality, accuracy and consistency.
