Key Responsibilities: MIG/MAG weld structural steel components using approved welding procedures. Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications. Set up welding machines, select appropriate wire, gas, voltage, and amperage. Weld in various positions and on different steel thicknesses. Carry out tack welding, fillet welds, butt welds, and other structural welds as required. Prepare, clean, grind, and inspect materials before and after welding. Check dimensions, alignment, weld quality, and finished components against drawings. Identify and rectify welding defects where required. Operate workshop equipment safely, including grinders, saws, drills, and fabrication tools. Maintain a clean and safe working area. Follow company, site, and statutory health & safety procedures.
