MIG Cell/Team leader DaventryMonday - Friday 7am - 5:15pm (1pm finish on a Friday)£44,460 Our market leading client in the metals industry is looking for a MIG cell leader to join their successful team in Daventry. You will oversee a small team of around 6-8 welders and must have relevant and up to date welding experience. Key Duties:Task leading a team of welders. - Lead and supervise your team, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the cell.Monitor productivity and quality within the team to ensure targets are met and exceeded - Plan and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and customer deadlines. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient utilization of resources.Evaluate and support process/fixture changes to achieve target timesImplement and enforce quality control measures to maintain high standards of quality and integrity. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality issues or non-conformities.Highlight training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ensure all team members are proficient in their respective role, safety protocols, and equipment operation.Expedite kit parts to achieve shop schedule requirements - Ensure equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and serviced.
