This is hands-on bench + jig work fabricating structural steel and aluminium components from CAD/engineering drawings. Key Duties Fabricate items from CAD drawings and engineering drawings - cutting, fitting, and assembly. MIG weld structural steel and aluminium to a high standard. Work on heavier steel fabrications and larger assemblies. Set up and use jigs/fixtures to ensure accuracy and repeatability. Interpret engineering drawings and specs - tolerances, weld symbols, BOMs. Work to drawing dimensions, keep workshop tidy, and follow H&S procedures. Requirements MIG welding experience on structural steel AND aluminium - essential. Engineering drawings - you can read and interpret without hand-holding. Experience fabricating heavier steel sections, not just light gauge. Confident using jigs/fixtures for production runs. Workshop-based, team player, flexible attitude.
