Multi-Skilled Welder Fabricator (TIG and MIG) Oldham Permanent Role Overview An excellent opportunity for an experienced, multi-skilled Welder Fabricator to join a busy engineering and fabrication business in Oldham. The work is varied: large projects can be predominantly TIG one month and predominantly MIG the next. The business is looking for an all-round engineer rather than a single-process welder. You will be a problem solver who can fabricate, weld and finish components to engineering drawings, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and safe working practices. Salary £20.00 per hour (approx. £37,960 per year basic, plus overtime) Working Hours Monday Thursday: 7:00am 3:00pm Friday: 7:00am 12:30pm 36.5 hours per week Overtime available at 1.5x Sunday overtime at 2x Benefits 10% employer pension contribution (5% employee contribution) £40,000 life insurance 25 days holiday + bank holidays Key Requirements Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator within fabrication, engineering or heavy manufacturing Strong TIG welding skills, ideally on stainless steel and aluminium Strong MIG welding skills, including multi-run welds Experience of, or willingness to develop, root run MIG welding to full penetration Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Fabrication skills: marking out, preparation, measuring, grinding, drilling and finishing Experience with press brakes or other fabrication machinery would be advantageous Ability to safely use ..... full job details .....
