Middle School Math Teacher

Middle School Grade 7 Math Teacher (fixed term contract, October, 2026-11 June, 2026 Reporting to: the Middle School Principal Hours: full time Start date: ASAP This is a fixed term contract for the school year. Overall purpose The middle school math teacher is responsible for teaching Grade 7 Math and serving as a Grade 7 advisor. The School aims to provide an outstanding American Education in an international setting; students at ASL study a curriculum that employs North American educational philosophy and teaching methods with a global perspective. Summary of duties Teach four sections of Math to Grade 7 students Plan, teach, and assess in close alignment with grade level teaching partner Prepare courses, coordinate and plan curriculum with other members of the department, and liaise with other departments as appropriate Monitor and evaluate students'' progress, prepare for parent conferences, complete report cards, etc. Coordinate curriculum with other members of the Math department, and liaise with other departments where appropriate Exhibit knowledge of current trends, pedagogy, (including an inquiry-based approach to teaching mathematics) research, and topics of importance in Math education by applying it in the classroom and sharing it with teachers on a departmental and school-wide basis Participate in regular, purposeful pedagogy meetings and in professional development sessions Serve as a Grade 7 ..... full job details .....
