Backend Developer (Go / AWS) - Mid-Level London OverviewMy client is going through an exciting stage of growth, investing heavily in modernising its platforms with scalable, cloud-native architecture. They''re looking for a Backend Developer to take ownership of key backend systems, working primarily in Go and AWS, and to help mentor junior engineers as the team grows. London: 1-2 days/week on-siteSalary: £80,000 - £90,000Employment type: Permanent position Role and Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Go Take ownership of key backend components, from design through to deployment Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, databases, and backend services Contribute to architectural decisions around performance, scalability and security Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and maintain services Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising engineering standards Skills and Experience 4-6 years'' professional software development experience Strong experience with Go Proven experience designing and building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs Solid experience with AWS Strong experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases Strong engineering background delivering projects end-to-end Experience with microservices architecture Interested, or know someone who''d be a great fit?
