Mid-Level Software Engineer (Java / Spring Boot)

Location: Cardiff - Hybrid (3 Days a week in office)
Salary: Up to -55,000 + bonus up to -11,000

We''re looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join a growing technology business.

You''ll join an established engineering team, developing new features and improving existing applications using Java, Spring Boot and PostgreSQL. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects from development through to production while contributing to technical decisions and supporting junior developers.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
* Work with PostgreSQL, SQL and database migrations.
* Build, test and deploy features into production.
* Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
* Work with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-hosted systems.
* Troubleshoot issues and improve software performance, security and quality.

Requirements
* Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.
* Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
* Experience delivering software features into production.
* Knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable: AWS, React, TypeScript, Jenkins, fintech or lending experience.
