Director of ITThe Microsoft Power / M365 Engineer is responsible for leading the analysis of our Microsoft 365 tenant and driving the development of new functionalities using the Power Platform suite. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft 365 applications and services, coupled with a strong proficiency in PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMicrosoft 365 AnalysisConduct thorough assessment and documentation of our current Microsoft 365 environment.Identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and enhancement across Microsoft 365 applications (including SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange).Power Platform DevelopmentDesign and develop robust solutions using PowerApps, ensuring scalability and integration with existing systems.Create automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.Develop insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.Collaboration and SupportCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Provide training and support to end-users on new functionalities developed within the Power Platform.QualificationsProven experience in administering and configuring Microsoft 365 applications and services.Strong proficiency in developing applications and workflows using PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI.Familiarity with Azure AD, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams administration.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Qualifications and ExperienceDegree level educationExperience of:Being an Enterprise Architect and other senior IT rolesEnergy or manufacturing businessSignificant change projects with technologyModern IT technologies and leading productsGood understanding of the enterprise Applications of Microsoft, Dynamics and AzureExperience with a medium size ERP Improvement / MigrationSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNo direct reports(Contract) Business Analysts (or people covering this role) for projects or additional contract EAs (if needed for capacity) will need to report to the EA as part of their project responsibilitiesCompetenciesExcellent communication skills – able to work with the business and IT teams to structure information to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audienceLeadership skillsTechnical skills – broad knowledge of technology is expectedEnterprise Architecture skillsIT methods – knowledge of development practices, project practicesAbility to develop and build positive working relationshipsShares ideas and informationCurious - probes for further information and a greater understanding of a problemWilling to take the lead or provide support where requiredSelf-starter – willing to get on with tasks without needing to be micro-managedHas a mindset of quality and getting it right first timePlans activities well in advance and takes account of possible changing circumstancesTechnically interested in new trends and opportunitiesDemonstrates behaviours aligned to our company values
