Microbiology Technician Location: Flint Shift: 4 on 4 off Days (7:00am - 7:00pm) Salary: £29,605 per annum Are you an experienced laboratory professional with a passion for quality and microbiology? We''re looking for a Microbiology Technician to join a busy Quality team at a leading manufacturing site in Flint. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring product safety and quality through microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and maintaining the highest laboratory standards. The Role As a Microbiology Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out microbiological testing and environmental monitoring to ensure products consistently meet quality and safety standards. You''ll work within a fast-paced laboratory environment where accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance are essential. Key Responsibilities Collect, analyse and report microbiological samples. Prepare culture media and maintain laboratory equipment. Carry out environmental monitoring, including air, water and surface sampling. Record and review laboratory data accurately using digital and paper-based systems. Support internal and external audits. Assist with investigations into out-of-specification results and test failures. Follow GMP, quality and health and safety procedures at all times. Manage laboratory stock levels and consumables.
