Our client, an investment organisation supporting high-growth UK businesses, is seeking an experienced MI Data Reporting Analyst to join their Finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A, this role will be responsible for delivering accurate and insightful management information, enabling informed business decisions across the organisation.

MI Data Reporting Analyst – About The Role
As the MI Data Reporting Analyst, you will take ownership of the organisation's management information reporting, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate and meaningful data to internal and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in developing Power BI reporting capabilities, strengthening reporting controls, improving data quality, and driving automation initiatives across multiple systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Extracting, validating and reconciling data from CRM, finance systems and Excel-based sources.
- Investigating and resolving data quality issues to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, datasets and reports.
- Establishing reporting standards, governance processes and data definitions.
- Delivering meaningful management information and performance reporting to key stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to automate reporting processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Maintaining robust reporting controls, reconciliations, exception reporting and audit trails.
- Using SQL and analytical tools to interrogate complex datasets and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Collaborating with Finance and operational teams on reporting and system improvement projects.
- Supporting audit requirements and responding to reporting-related queries.
- Acting as a key point of contact for management information reporting across the business.
The successful MI Data Reporting Analyst will have:
- Proven experience within an MI, data reporting, business intelligence or analytics role.
- Advanced Power BI skills, including data modelling, DAX and dashboard development.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong SQL capability.
- Experience working with complex datasets from multiple systems and sources.
- Strong understanding of data governance, reporting controls and reconciliation processes.
- Demonstrable experience improving and automating reporting processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with CRM, finance and wider business systems.
