CMM Metrology Technician-Swindon- 45,000 About the Role We are seeking a highly capable CMM Metrology Technician to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team, supporting the production and validation of advanced Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS). This is an exciting opportunity to work within a cutting-edge manufacturing environment focused on precision engineering, dimensional verification and continuous quality improvement within an AS9100-compliant aerospace setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring all manufactured components, assemblies and subcontract-supplied parts meet exacting dimensional and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform dimensional inspection and verification of machined, fabricated, additive manufactured and assembled aerospace components using CMM and laser scanning technologies. Program, operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for first-off, in-process and final inspection activities. Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements. Interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models and GDandT specifications. Produce detailed inspection reports, deviation reports and dimensional data packs. Support root cause investigations into dimensional non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.
