Metrology Inspector Permanent On-site 37,000 - 42,000 + excellent benefits 4-day working week (Mon-Thurs) with flexible working My client is seeking an experienced Metrology Inspector to join their Quality and Mission Success team, supporting a variety of special projects and production programmes across advanced defence systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with cutting-edge metrology equipment, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and contributing to both RandD and deliverable programmes in a fast-paced environment. What You''ll Be DoingCreate, edit, and run CMM programs for high-volume and one-off partsPerform dimensional inspection using manual metrology equipment (verniers, micrometers, etc.)Develop measurement solutions using CMMs, articulated arms, and laser trackersInterpret engineering drawings and 3D models, applying GDandT principlesProduce inspection reports and manage non-conforming productsSupport investigations, FAIs, SPC, and control plansWork closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues What We''re Looking For Essential skills and experienceProven experience programming, editing, and running CMMsStrong GDandT knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawingsHigh attention to detail with excellent organisational skillsAbility to follow SOPs accurately and troubleshoot minor issuesStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetDesirableExperience with PC-DMIS and/or PolyWorks ..... full job details .....
