The Successful Metrology Engineer / CMM Programmer - Package:

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: Office Day Shift – 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 14:00 Friday

The Successful Metrology Engineer / CMM Programmer - Role:
-
Create new CMM programmes, working closely with NPI & Engineering.

Improve existing CMM programmes for greater accuracy and speed.

Act as the subject matter expert on measurement systems and inspection processes.

Deliver robust, cost-effective inspection methodologies across the product lifecycle.

Respond to measurement issues and develop effective solutions.

Provide training in manual and mechanical inspection techniques.

Lead CMM improvement projects, calibration schedules, and equipment inventory.

Conduct Gauge R&R, SPC, and MSA studies.

Support reverse engineering data delivery and reporting.
The Successful Metrology Engineer / CMM Programmer - Person:
-
Experienced in an aerospace/automotive production environment.

Strong knowledge of CMM programming (PC-DMIS ideal, but other platforms considered).

Skilled in conventional component measurement methods.

Confident reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.

Proficient in Minitab (beneficial).
