Metrology EngineerDeeside, North WalesSalary + Benefits + OvertimePermanent Full TimeA growing precision engineering and inspection business is looking to appoint an experienced Metrology Engineer to join their team in Deeside. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in dimensional inspection, CMM programming and quality control to work on complex, high-spec components for aerospace, defence, automotive and advanced manufacturing customers.You''ll play a key role in ensuring parts meet exacting standards, supporting both internal production and customer projects, and working closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams.What you''ll be doingCarrying out dimensional inspection of components and assemblies using CMMs, FARO Arms, laser scanning systems and conventional metrology equipment.Creating, editing and optimising CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, MCOSMOS, Aberlink or similar.Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, CAD models and GDandT requirements.Producing accurate inspection reports, FAIRs and other quality documentation.Supporting root cause analysis and non-conformance investigations.Liaising with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve dimensional and process issues.Completing first-off, in-process and final inspections.Supporting calibration and maintenance of metrology equipment.Contributing to continuous improvement across inspection and quality processes.What we''re ..... full job details .....
