Metal Sorter

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a family run business based in Mexborough , Rotherham.
You will be taken under the wing of experts within the Metal Recycling industry offering support and training to ensure you have a successful, long-term career within their family run business.

Role responsibilities:

• Stripping down and sorting a variety of metals, raw materials
• Using tools such as grinders, saws and alligator shears to prepare materials for recycling
• Separating a variety of materials in a ferrous and non-ferrous area
• Loading and unloading materials from vehicles
• Ensure the working area is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Adhering to company procedures and health and safety standards at all time.
• Various other duties may be required once fully trained

Role requirements:

• Successful candidates MUST be looking for a long-term career.
• Candidates must have a good attitude and be willing to learn
• Candidate must be numerate and literate due to demands of role.
• Candidate must be fit and healthy due to the physical demands of the role
• Previous experience within a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK Driving License beneficial but no essential.  
• Experience using FLT/ advantageous but not a necessity.
• Resilient ‘can do’ attitude’
• Excellent eye for details
