I am recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Metal Finisher to join a well-established sheet metal manufacturing company based in Ferndown.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Metal Finisher to join a busy production team working on high-quality fabricated and sheet metal components. The company has a strong reputation within the industry and can offer stable, long-term work within a professional manufacturing environment.The successful Metal Finisher will be responsible for preparing and finishing metal components to a high standard prior to final inspection and despatch.Key responsibilities for the Metal Finisher role include:Fettling and finishing fabricated and sheet metal componentsUsing hand and power tools including grinders, orbital grinders, sanders, linishing and polishing equipmentRemoving sharp edges, weld marks and imperfections from componentsPreparing stainless steel and mild steel products to customer specificationsCarrying out quality checks on finished productsWorking from engineering drawings where requiredSupporting production and fabrication departments as neededTo be considered for this Metal Finisher position, candidates should have:Previous experience within metal finishing, fettling or polishingExperience using orbital grinders and linishing equipmentExperience working within a sheet metal or fabrication environmentConfidence using hand and power toolsStrong attention to detail and quality standardsGood understanding of ..... full job details .....
