Metal Fabricator - Assistant Sign Shop Technician

at Riney where you will be based from our Leyton Depot in Walthamstow. The role is easily commutable from Wanstead, Walthamstow, Stratford, Hackney, Tottenham, North Finchley, Edmonton, Enfield, Loughton, Chigwell, Ilford, Dagenham, Cricklewood, Barnet and the surrounding areas.Here at JB Riney, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and its important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Main Responsibilities

Learn to produce and fabricate signs and other traffic related products using the correct materialsEnsure that all aspects of routine and non-routine maintenance is carried out on our signs in the workshopContribute to a strong and highly valued Sign Shop Service with the fabrication of signs and their installationMaintain records of completed works and accurately record any amendmentsUse electrical and mechanical tools; as well as hand tools to cut, shape and assemble signsEnsure all work carried out and documented in line with company SHE policiesThe Ideal Candidate

Skills

To be successful in the role you as the ideal candidate will possess proven experience of sign making, but training will be given to a candidate who shows aptitude and transferable skills. You will also possess:Ability to work independently and as part of a team to tight deadlinesAbility to read an engineering drawing/schematic and work to tight tolerances would be beneficialFull UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points would be highly desirableManual HandlingAbrasive WheelFirst Aid at WorkComputer literate to complete scheduled and emergency tasks whilst documenting and recording the worksBenefits
