The Role

As a MET Technician / Strip Fitter, you will be responsible for dismantling and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring every repair is completed to manufacturer specifications and the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Strip and refit damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Remove, repair and reinstall mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Work efficiently within a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow approved repair methods and manufacturer procedures.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
• Work closely with panel technicians and paint sprayers to ensure vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a MET Technician, Strip Fitter or Bodyshop Technician.
• Recognised apprenticeship with an NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of modern vehicle construction and repair techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong team ethic.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
