MEP Technical / Building Services Manager

A successful and established main MEP contractor based in the Newcastle area, with a very good project workload spread across the North East / Yorkshire regions, require a MEP Technical Manager to work with both the Client, main contractor and external Consultants. Job Overview The Technical Manager is responsible for management of design related issues across multiple sectors in both Pre Construction and the Construction stages of individual projects. The role involves the management of the design process using commercial, contractual, programme / time awareness and technical expertise; whilst supporting, understanding and advising relevant stakeholders as to the requirements and obligations in the development of the design. The role requires experience in the appointment and management of consultants, monitoring the production of detailed design and managing the design appraisal review process for projects in delivery The Technical Manager is accountable for ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice where appropriate.
