MEP Revit Technician

The Opportunity
Our Client is a leading heat network consultancy playing a leading role in the decarbonisation of heat in the UK. They have established themselves as the leading experts on how to specify, design, deliver and operate low temperature heat networks. They provide end-to-end expertise in the development of district heating networks, from feasibility assessments to the detailed design of city-wide schemes.
They are looking to appoint an experienced MEP Revit Technician to work closely with the design teams producing quality 2D and 3D drawings and models from sketches and mark-ups, fully utilising the latest Autodesk Building Design suite
The Position
As the primary Revit specialist, you will be responsible for creating and managing building information models (BIM) using Autodesk Revit software. Your main duties will be to produce accurate and detailed models of mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) schemes.
Responsibilities:
- Taking outline design mark ups and creating and managing Revit MEP models using Autodesk Revit software.
- Working with Engineers and attending external meetings in a support capacity.
- Coordinating your MEP design with external models and 2D drawings, carrying out clash detection and finding and implementing solution.
- Creating construction documentation such as floor plans, elevations, sections, and details in 2D and 3D.
- Managing relevant project incoming and outgoing information and documentation
- Creating and maintaining project templates and standards to ensure consistency across all projects.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in Revit and BIM modelling.
The Person
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software.
- Knowledge of buildings and standards.
- Attention to detail and consistently accurate.
- Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with our team.
- Able to work efficiently using your own initiative, with good decision-making & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to estimate time required to prepare and complete drawings and to work to agreed deadlines.
