MEP Manager

Carmichael UK is recruiting an experienced MEP Manager to join a Tier 1 Joint Venture delivering a major section of HS2 in Buckinghamshire. This is a key leadership role overseeing the successful integration and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across critical infrastructure works.

You’ll be working closely with civil, structural, and systems teams to ensure the coordinated delivery of complex MEP packages — from planning through to handover.

• Manage MEP installation, testing, commissioning and handover on site

• Lead coordination between MEP and civils design & construction teams

• Review and approve subcontractor method statements, ITPs, and programmes

• Oversee MEP-related health, safety, quality, and compliance requirements

• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues and report to senior leadership

• Interface with design consultants, suppliers, and client representatives

• Drive efficiency and best practice across MEP delivery

• Proven MEP management experience on major infrastructure or rail projects

• Strong understanding of M&E coordination in a civil engineering environment

• Ability to manage subcontractors and liaise with multi-disciplinary teams

• SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications

• Major civils project experience preferred
