Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioner (Peer) - THRIVE Welcome Team

We have a unique vacancy for a Peer Practitioner and are looking to recruit someone with lived/living experience of Mental Ill Health. This is an opportunity to use your lived experience of recovery and self-management to provide Hope and Belief for others, through equal relationships and shared experiences.
The role is in collaboration with the NHS and other 3rd sector organisations that make up the multidisciplinary “Thrive Welcome Teams.” The teams include peer practitioners, mental health nurses, social workers, support workers and occupational therapists.
The service runs Monday to Friday, 9-5pm. The team provides 1:1 support according to discipline, group work facilitation for Decider Skills and ADHD, and also covers Open Access (drop-in) as the first point of contact for people who require mental health support.
Responsibilities
Use your lived experience of recovery to provide support and guidance to others.
Share coping tools and strategies as appropriate to support others in their recovery journey.
Provide 1:1 support aligned with disciplinary roles within the Thrive Welcome Teams.
Facilitate group work for Decider Skills and ADHD.
Support Open Access drop-in sessions and be the first point of contact for people seeking mental health support.
