This role would be particularly well suited to graduates or individuals with an interest in psychology, counselling, mental health or education.As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH and mental health needsHelping pupils develop emotional regulation and positive coping strategiesSupporting children who may experience anxiety, low mood, emotional dysregulation or challenging behaviourEncouraging positive relationships and helping pupils build confidenceSupporting teachers with classroom activities and individual learning plansCreating a calm, consistent and nurturing environment where pupils feel safe to learnYou will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to understand individual pupils and ensure support is tailored to their needs.
