      <description>Location: Bury | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Permanent | Location:  Bury  Job Type:  Full-time  Shift:  Rota - Days &amp; Nights  Start:  Immediate  Experience:  Required  We are looking for experienced  Support Workers  to join a mental health supported living service in Bury. The service provides step-down accommodation for individuals moving on from  prison or long-term hospital stays , many of whom have a history of substance misuse and complex needs.   Key Responsibilities     Supporting residents to develop independent living skills, including  cooking, shopping, budgeting and household tasks .    Supporting attendance at  health, probation and external agency appointments .    Working in line with individual  care plans and risk assessments .    Supporting community reintegration and encouraging independence.    Managing and  de-escalating challenging behaviour  in a calm and professional manner.    Maintaining accurate records and reporting concerns appropriately.    Working closely with colleagues and external professionals to provide consistent support.     About You   Previous experience in  mental health, supported living, substance misuse, challenging behaviour, homelessness, residential care or a similar setting  is essential. ...</description>
