You''ll be working with primary and secondary-aged students who need additional support with their social, emotional and mental health, as well as learning needs that can make the classroom environment challenging.

What will you be doing?

You''ll work with students 1:1 and in small groups, providing targeted support and interventions to help them feel more confident, engaged and ready to learn.

Your day could include:

• Building positive and supportive relationships with students.
• Helping young people develop strategies to manage their emotions.
• Supporting students with their confidence, communication and social skills.
• Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Helping students overcome barriers to learning.
• Supporting students to develop positive routines and engage with education.

You''ll gain an insight into how schools support young people with different needs, develop your communication and behaviour-support skills, and learn how targeted interventions can help students overcome barriers to learning.
