About the Role
A Mental Health Social Worker position is available in Kendal with HCL Workforce Solutions, paying up to £34 per hour on a temporary basis. This locum role involves 37 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with condensed hours into four days possible. The work is hybrid, requiring three days in the office. You will handle care act assessments, support planning, reviews, S117 procedures, hospital discharges, tribunal work, and duty cover. Caseloads vary in complexity, capped at 18-20, covering South Lakes and Eden. A Social Work degree is essential. About the Role:

- Will be in the mental health team and TM is looking for an EPW SW to do care act assessments / support planning / reviews / hospital discharges etc
- Caseload: Varying complexity, max 18-20.
- Geographical area required to cover - South Lakes and Eden
Who We Are Looking For:
- * Education: Degree in Social Work
- * Licenses: (If required)
In line with the Department for Education''s updated agency rules, all candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of three years post-qualifying experience (PQE) in direct employment with an English local authority
- Must not have left a permanent social work role within the past six months from a children''s services department or a local authority in the South West region
- Must be available to work from the office in Torbay each week
- Skills: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong case management and problem-solving ability. - Resilience and empathy when working with complex cases. * Collaborative Mindset: A proactive team player who values safeguarding and empowerment.
