Job Role
Open communication channels with Local Authority and CCG commissioners to engage in new business opportunities with Abbey Total Care Group and maintain relationship.To follow quality assurance program and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in mental health care.Establish and monitor performance indicators, metrics, and benchmarks to assess the quality of mental health services.Conduct regular audits, reviews, and evaluations of service delivery processes, documentation, and outcomes to identify areas for improvement.Assist with a review of existing procedures to ensure they meet the current guidelinesMaintaining documentation of procedural changesEnsuring that all processes meet safety, legal and CQC standardsCollaborate with mental health professionals and staff to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and action plans.Provide guidance and training to staff members on quality assurance methods, policies, and procedures, and latest research.Stay abreast of current trends, research, and advancements in mental health care quality management and incorporate them into practice.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and accreditation agencies to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.Investigate and resolve complaints, incidents, and issues related to the quality of mental health care, ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up.Analyse data and prepare comprehensive reports on quality assurance activities, findings, and recommendations for management.Collaborate with program directors, supervisors, and staff to identify training needs and develop professional development programs to enhance the quality of care.Help home managers build a team of mental health champions in their services.Monitor and review documentation and medications to ensure safety and accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement by promoting teamwork, communication, and collaboration among mental health professionals.Participate in quality assurance meetings, committees, and initiatives at the organizational level.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant rules, regulations, and CQC standards related to mental health care quality assurance.The post holder will be expected to be flexible and adaptable.The key areas of responsibility should not be considered as an exhaustive list of tasks to be undertaken and the Company reserves the right to expect the post-holder to undertake any other appropriate duties or responsibilities that the post holder has the skills to undertake
Qualification
Current and valid nursing pin (RMN) will be required.Proven experience in healthcare management or quality improvement roles, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care setting.In-depth knowledge of nursing home regulations and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Leadership and project management experienceAble to work on own initiative unsupervisedGood time management skills, ability to prioritise and organise workload appropriatelyPrevious experience in quality assurance or quality management within the mental health field.In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards, guidelines, and best practices in mental health care.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and implement effective quality improvement strategies.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of mental health care.Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications relevant to quality management and data analysis.
