This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience working with young people who require additional emotional and mental health support.

You will work with students who present with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma-related needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

Key Details:

• Role: Mental Health Assistant
  * Location: Reading
  * Salary: -89100 per day
  * Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
  * Start Date: ASAP
  * Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
  * Ideal for: Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or Education Graduates

Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1:1 and small group emotional support
* Supporting pupils with emotional regulation strategies
* Assisting with behaviour management in a calm and consistent manner
* Working collaboratively with SEN staff and therapists
* Helping create a positive, structured learning environment
