A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Reading is seeking a passionate Mental Health Assistant to join their specialist Resource Base, supporting pupils with a range of SEN and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mental Health Assistant to gain hands-on experience within a specialist educational environment while working alongside experienced teachers, SEN professionals and therapists.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will support pupils from Reception through to Year 6, helping children who may experience:

• Autism and ADHD.
• Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties.
• Trauma-related behaviours.
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Barriers to learning and social development.

Your role will focus on helping pupils regulate their emotions, build self-confidence, develop positive relationships and engage more successfully with their education.

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
• Start: ASAP
• Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
